X-Analyser
The X-Analyser is a software tool, used in conjuction with CAN, LIN or FlexRay interface hardware, for analysing CAN LIN based systems . X-Analyser can be used to display and data log network traffic in a variety of ways. It can also be used to generate data and simulate simple CAN or LIN devices. It is designed to work on a PC platform, running under Windows 2000, XP or Vista.
A version supporting the emerging FlexRay network protocol will be available in 2007.

Why use X-Analyser?
Other network analysis software available are more difficult to use and often contain obscure menu structures. However, the design philosophy for the X-Analyser has been to make it as easy as possible to use, and to provide the main features in a single window (rather than multiple windows), making it simpler to use within restricted enviroments such as within a vehicle. The X-Analyser also supports the extensive hotkeys for the same reasons.
The result is the easiest to use, most intuitive to use network analysis tool on the market. Therefore it is ideal for CAN and LIN beginners, but also has very powerful features ideal for CAN and LIN experts.

Higher Layer Protocol Support
The Higher Layer Protocol features allow the user to monitor the CAN bus data in the context of a variety of higher layer protocols (e.g. DeviceNet, CANopen and SAE J1939). Higher layer protocol awareness plug-ins can be obtained from Warwick Control as additional purchases.
LIN Option
The X-Analyser supports the LIN protocol used in the automotive industry for low speed applications.
FlexRay Option
The X-Analyser supports the FlexRay protocol used in the automotive industry for very high speed applications.
Automotive Industry Standard File Format Support
The X-Analyser supports automotive industry standard file formats meaning that it is compatible with other tools on the market. It can therefore be used alongside other tools, or replace them as a more intuitive and powerful alternative.
Node or Network Simulation
Node or network simulation is possible via the C/C++,.NET feature and/or the Soft Keil Interface. These use open programming languages and not obscure proprietary languages.
