SAE J1939 is the 29-bit CAN ID protocol originally devised for coordinating the communication of ECUs within a typical truck and trailer system. The J1939 option for the X-Analyser means that users can view raw CAN data, engineering signals and the J1939 interpretation in terms of packet interpretation, all within X-Analyser’s intuitive graphical user interface.
The J1939 interpretation feature for X-Anlayser supports all of the main features of the X-Analyser plus the following: -
- Source and Destination filtering (show ALL or Individual source or destination)
- Protocol Data Unit Filtering (PDU1, PDU2)
- Data is displayed as: -

- PGN – Parameter Group Number
- Pr – Priority
- PD – Page Data

- Textual description
A signals file is provided that gives interpretation of signals as per specification J1939-71.
