series that they started in 2004 called Beyond CAN. Beyond CAN 2 was hosted in November 2005. Therefore this one is designated as
Beyond CAN 3. This Seminar will bring suppliers at all tier levels up to date on the latest developments and trends in the area of
automotive and automation data bus communication technology. There will be distinguished experts from around Europe speaking on the
most significant issues concerning current and future embedded networks technology.
The morning is focused around particular vehicular technologies whilst the afternoon spins off into more general embedded networking
technologies.
The key content is:-
- Review of data communications technology - Richard McLaughlin (Warwick Control) - Introduction to the day
- Practical Methods of simulating CAN systems - Anthony Williams (Warwick Control) - Software simulation, CAN analysis within a simulated Keil environment.
- Growing acceptance for Time-Triggered concepts: TTTech's experience in Time-Triggered production programs - Georg Kopetz (TTTech) - FlexRay, TTP etc.
- FlexRay for in-vehicle communications - Chris Quigley (Warwick Control) - FlexRay is compared with CAN, J1939, CANopen, and PLC for in-vehicle communications (cars, off-highway etc.)
- LIN: The Coming of Age - Richard McLaughlin (Warwick Control and Atmel) - Integrated design utilizing a LIN single chip solutions.
