CANopen Solutions

Through its collaboration with CANopen company Port GmbH, Warwick Control provide a complete CANopen suite of tools for companies who wish to develop their own CANopen capable devices. The tool suite is used to develop and configure a C software stack quickly and efficiency, therefore saving a significant amount of time and money. The tool suite is shown below.

The CANopen C software stack is a fully tested off the shelf product. However it must be configured by the user for their specific application. This is achieved by using the CANopen Design Tool. For some applications, CANopen device profiles are available for automatic stack configuration, for others this must be done by the user manually. Once the user is happy with the design, the output from the CANopen Design Tool is a set of C configuration files and an Electronic Data Sheet (EDS). The EDS is read by the CANopen Configuration Manager for configuration of the node for use in specific network environments or by the CANopen Device Monitor which is used for in depth analysis of the node during development. The X-Analyser is a network analyser that can be used to send and receive CANopen messages, and even examine behaviour CANopen gateways.
